The large scale of proposed development (finally) revealed

It's Official! At the end of this week and after numerous requests made by the public, the Municipality of the County of Kings (MoK) FINALLY released the redacted rezoning/development agreement application.

The actual scale of the proposed campground: 95 - 115 CAMPSITES with 50+ RV sites and tenting sites available.

Of particular concern: the RV sites are DIRECTLY on top of active ag land and directly behind many private residences on HWY 358.

By comparison, the nearby Blomidon Provincial Park has 94 campsites. This means this proposed development is even LARGER THAN BLOMIDON PROVINCIAL PARK right in the middle of the community, bordering an active commercial poultry farm and surrounded by fields in active production.

The application, site plan and some rules & regs around this project can be found on the MoK website below. Check it out for yourselves!
