PRESERVATION

Residents and visitors to Scots Bay immediately understand the deep and meaningful relationship we share here with Nature. Our walks on the beach, our hikes in the woods, our  enjoyment of peaceful sunsets, and our way of life are reasons we choose to live here. Any development in our community that threatens to distupt that peace and our connections to Nature, while offering no significant benefit to our community, is unwanted.

Scots Bay is home of 2 Provincial Parks: the Picnic Park/Beach and Cape Split Hiking Trail - which already bring ever-increasing numbers and human pressures. We are fortunate to have support for beach clean-ups, community groups, suppers and events which help mitigate those concerns, but some limits need to be place. The proposed  campground, planned to be large-scale on arable land bordering an active farm, is unwise and ill-advised.

We strive to protect our Environment and our way of life by opposing this private development. g 5

INFORMATION

Through Community Meetings and Actions regarding Development Application File # 21 -25, we will work to provide information and answers to your questions pertaining to said Application. Check UPDATES above for the latest information. If there is something specific we can help with, please CONTACT US.

SUPPORT

We support all members of our community (and the County) who would like to make their voice heard, opinions known, or want their concerns addressed. Public access to information, public participation opportunities, and process transparency are values we work to uphold. We can't do this alone but we're happy to help facilitate group communication, information sessions, research, and opposition action organization. If you'd like to help, please let us know.
