As hopefully most are enjoying their summer in Scots Bay with swimming, hiking out to Cape Split, beachcoming, and more an ELEPHANT remains in our community: a proposed private CAMPGROUND development.
We haven't forgotten this issue - in fact, we remain vigilant and active behind the scenes to amplify the voices opposed to this for-profit development.
Despite VERY STRONG COMMUNITY & AG INDUSTRY OPPOSITION, the developer's application for a large-scale campground in this small community reamains locked in develpment agreement negotiations with the Municipality of the County of Kings.
If you would like to help encourage the Municipal Staff NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION TO COUNCIL, please let your feelings be known.
HOW? Pick one or more of the following to share your thoughts:
Write/Call your Councillor about this issue
Contact the Planning Manager at lmosher@countyofkings.ca
Thanks for your continued support, we continue to work hard to support community-first development and Preserve Scots Bay.
ENJOY YOUR SUMMER!
